When Foster Farms asked if I would be willing to give their new Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG) certified gluten free corn dogs a try, I knew I had to try one. My son has loved corn dogs for years. We have tried other gluten free corn dog brands, but he didn’t really like them. (And yes, I have tried to make these from scratch….but that has been a total disaster.)
You know I am pretty strict with my kids’ diets. I normally don’t like to give my kids prepared fast foods like this, but for an occasional fun meal, these are a great option.
These corn dogs are tested below 10 ppm of gluten, which is really important so I know my kids won’t get sick from gluten contamination. The chicken in these corn dogs have no added hormones or steroids, making them better than other brands.
My son told me he wants me to serve these for his birthday party because his friends won’t be able to tell these are gluten free and they can all eat the same thing.
My son really loved these corn dogs. They came out of the toaster oven really crispy after only 18 minutes. The corn breading has a slight honey flavor. The instructions said you can microwave these, but I doubt they would come out as crispy as they do when baked.
These are available at local grocery stores. These are in our local Safeway and Lucky stores.
Have you tried these yet?
