Two glasses of Crushed Black Grape Bourbon Cocktails with black grapes around the base of the glass

It has been a long week and I am ready to unwind and enjoy the weekend. School starts next week and it seems like there is so much prep that goes into getting the kids ready. They need school clothes, notebooks, pencils, and highlighter pens in every color in the rainbow. (I am not kidding!!)

Time to break out the Vitamix and make a delicious fruity bourbon cocktail.

My favorite libations always include fresh fruit. I am not into really sweet drinks, and I love that including fresh fruit in a cocktail doesn’t mean the drink has to be super sweet. The black grapes give this drink a fresh taste that is so good on a hot day! I have found for me, the best way to puree fruits for a cocktail is with a Vitamix. The Vitamix helps you enjoy whole foods in so many ways, from smoothies to hot soup.

The star of this bourbon drink is the black grapes. They are packed full of nutrition and add a sweetness that just blends perfectly with the bourbon. Their polyphenols may even help keep your heart healthy. (How is that for justification to try this drink?)

Just in case you feel like a little tequila, this Tequila with Lemonade with Cilantro Cocktail is perfect to drink by the pool. I would never have thought cilantro and lemonade would work together, but I was proven wrong after eating at a new favorite restaurant. Curious?
