Do you love to grill?

Here in the California Bay Area, we are completely spoiled.

There, I said it.

Compared to most of the country, our weather is pretty temperate. In our family, that means we use our grill all year round, often 2-3 times a week.

When I was given the opportunity to try Kraft’s new Evergriller Grill ‘N’ Flip Mitt, I knew this was the perfect opportunity for my son to help me with a post. He loves to grill. How many kids do you know who read grill cook books for fun?

Jadon and Evergrill Mitt

The Evergriller Grill ‘N’ Flip Mitt is a specially designed, fire-resistant grilling glove that protects the griller’s hands from both the heat of the grill and the chill of the outdoors during winter grilling season. The unique design of the top insert can hold many grill tools, making it easy to flip, stab, and baste with ease and precision.

This mitt makes grilling both easy and safe for myson, and that is really important to us.

Sweet Honey Sauce

My son and I thought about what kind of balanced meal we should make for dinner. We received an assortment of Kraft Barbecue Sauces (Original, Sweet Honey, and Hickory Smoke.) Kraft sauces have just recently been reformulated with high quality ingredients including tomatoes, sweet molasses, cider vinegar and cane sugar.

No more high fructose corn syrup. New Kraft Barbecue Sauce is available in eight varieties across smoky, sweet and spicy flavors: Original, Hickory Smoke, Sweet Honey, Mesquite Smoke, Sweet Brown Sugar, Sweet & Spicy, Spicy Honey, and Thick & Spicy. My son and I decided to grill a flank steak with the Sweet Honey Barbecue Sauce. This sauce has a tangy honey sweet taste that would pair well with our family’s famous coleslaw recipe.

We took it to the next level and put a little twist to traditional tacos by creating barbecue tacos!

We used the spatula tool in the Evergriller to flip the flank steak.

Basted steak

After basting the Kraft Honey Sweet Barbecue Sauce on the steak, we grilled it for 8 minutes per side so the steak would be medium rare.

We pulled the steak off the grill onto a plate and covered it with aluminum foil. We allowed it to rest for 5 minutes. This meat is perfect and ready to be made into tacos.

We are going to top our barbecue tacos with our family’s special coleslaw recipe.
