(*This post is sponsored by Foster Farms Air Chilled Chicken. All juicy mouthwatering opinions are my own.)

Heat up your grill and get ready for a grilled chicken burger the whole family will love! If you love chicken as much as we do, you will also want to check out these gluten free chicken recipes.

If you have been following my blog for a while, you know we love Foster Farms Chicken and that I use it every week when making family meals. Their air-chilled chicken is full of flavor.

If you aren't familiar with air chilling, it is a special process of cooling the chicken without using water. This means chicken doesn't absorb water and therefore you don't get diluted chicken juices.

Serve this burger with my crispy Gluten Free Beer Battered Fried Onion Rings!

Using air chilling has many benefits including better taste and texture, and it cooks so much faster making it perfect for those busy weeknights!

You can find all of Foster Farm's chicken products at your local Safeway and Albertsons Grocery Stores.

The secret of this recipe is garlic butter, lots of it. This allows the flavor to cook into the chicken while keeping it super moist.

a package of Foster Farm's Chicken

For this recipe, I don't use a chicken sauce. I let the chicken sit with melted butter, lemon, garlic, salt, and pepper for about 15 minutes, then continue to baste the chicken breasts in this mixture as it grills.

One of the stars in this recipe are the grilled peaches. I love to grill fruit and include it in recipes. Grilling caramelizes the natural sugars in the fruit and the flavors combine beautifully in this grilled chicken recipe.

What you need to make this recipe:

    • Thinly Sliced Chicken Breasts
    • Butter - use vegan butter if you are dairy-free
    • Garlic - freshly minced or jarred minced garlic are both fine to use.

    Recipe step by step directions:

raw chicken breasts on a plate with seasoning

Step 1: Remove the chicken and place it on a plate. Add salt and pepper.

Step 2: Brush the chicken with melted butter and garlic. Allow the chicken to sit for 15 minutes. While you are waiting, preheat the grill. Add sliced peaches to your grill and grill 3 minutes each side.

Step 3: Add the chicken to the grill. Baste the chicken with more of the melted butter and garlic mixture.

Step 4: Grill the chicken for 5 minutes then urn the chicken over and grill another 5 minutes. Check the internal temperature. When your chicken is 165 degrees F, your chicken is done grilling.

Now we are ready for the family to make their grilled chicken filet burgers! Grab a gluten free bun, grilled peaches, mayo, and lettuce and make your burgers.

    Expert Tips and Recipe FAQ:

How do you know when the chicken is done?

Your chicken is cooked when it has an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.

How do you grill the perfect chicken breast?

The secret to a great grilled chicken breast is to marinade it and then baste it while cooking. This is why I baste my chicken several times while it is grilling.

    Can you use vegan butter?

You can definitely use vegan butter in this recipe to keep it dairy-free.

How long will grilled chicken keep?

These grilled chicken filets will keep up to 4 days in an air-tight container, or up to 4 months in the freezer.

For that time of the year, you can also cook chicken or these Frozen Burger Patties in the Oven. I share all of the tips and tricks in that article.

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound thinly sliced chicken breasts
    • 2 large peaches sliced
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • 2 cloves garlic minced
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 4 hamburger buns
    • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
    • ½ cup lettuce

    Instructions

    • Preheat your grill to 400º F. See my notes below for stovetop grilling instructions.
    • Place the raw chicken on a plate and salt and pepper both sides.
    • In a small bowl, melt the butter and garlic together.
    • Brush onto both sides of the chicken and allow to sit 15 minutes.
    • Slice peaches and put aside on a plate.
    • Add the chicken to the grill and cook 5 minutes each side. Next, grill the peach slices for 2 minutes each side and remove from the heat.
    • Check the internal temperature of the chicken to ensure it is 165º F when done.
    • Top your burger with the grilled peaches.

    Notes

    1. If you are trying to keep this low calorie, you can use olive oil and garlic instead of garlic butter.
    2. These grilled chicken filets will keep up to 4 days in an air-tight container, or up to 4 months in the freezer.
    To cook stovetop:
Heat a grill pan or cast-iron skillet. Follow the same directions but cook on the pan for 5 minutes, then flip the chicken over. It may need more time depending on how thick your chicken filets are. You want the internal temperature to read 165º F when they are fully cooked.
