If you have traveled to Hawaii, you probably have tried POG. POG juice is a delicious blend of passion fruit, orange, and guava juice that screams tropical. Wait until you try my POG Cocktail; it is the perfect way to celebrate happy hour.

Two glasses of pog cocktail garnished with limes.

When we last went to Maui, we became addicted to a fruit juice blend that was served. It is simply orange juice, guava juice, and passion fruit juice. We would head out to the pool each morning and enjoy POG with our breakfast.

When we came home, I searched everywhere for this tropical juice. None of our local stores carried it. We wanted to make our own, but finding passion fruit juice was hard. Orange juice is everywhere, and guava juice is fairly easy to find in cans….but passion fruit juice is elusive.

My son loved this guava passion fruit drink so much that he often had several glasses! I include both the non-alcoholic and adult cocktail versions so everyone can enjoy this delicious juice blend. If you love creative cocktails, you will love some of these Fancy Drink Ideas.

Sugaring the rim of the glass with orange sugar.

If you want to add a fancy rim…Dip the rim of the glass in more passion fruit syrup, then dip in colored sugar. I used white and orange sugar to make it fun.

Pouring in the rum.

POG for adults:

For adults, add 2 ounces of rum for each drink. Pour in the POG juice, then stir to mix.

Add 1 ounce of dark rum floated on top of the drink to make this a POG cocktail even better. Do not stir in the dark rum. Enjoy!!
