Ingredients

  • 16 ounces fresh cranberries (about 2 packages)
  • ½ cup chopped apples peeled
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • ¾ cup sugar

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to a large pot and cook on medium.
  • Stir frequently and bring to a boil. Note, you will hear a lot of popping as the cranberries burst. This is totally normal.
  • Turn the heat down to medium low and cook until all of the cranberries are broken and soft.
  • Allow to cool and serve.

Notes

  1. When you wash the cranberries, pick out the bruised and bad ones before adding them to the pot.
  2. If you want to keep this lower glycemic, you can substitute honey.

SPECIAL NOTE

Please know that every gluten free flour blend has a different starch to grain ratio. If you use a blend I didn't test, you may need to adjust your moisture levels in your baked goods.
