Wash your portobello mushrooms and remove the stems. Put the portobello mushroom caps in the air fryer. Cook the mushrooms for 5 minutes with no fillings.
NOTE: If you have a cracked portobello mushroom, set it at a slight angle in the air fryer away from the crack so the pizza filling doesn't melt out when the portabello cooks.
Add the pizza sauce, pesto sauce, salsa, or any sauce you are using
Add cheese, toppings, and dried basil to each mushroom.
Cook the mushrooms for another 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly golden. The more toppings you have the longer it will need to cook.

Oven Baking Directions:
No air fryer? No problem. Wash and remove the stem from your portobello mushrooms the same way as instructed but bake it at 400º F for 10 minutes. Remove it from the oven and drain any liquid. Add your pizza toppings and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
