How to Make Gluten-Free Challah

Making homemade gluten free challah is easier than you may think!

Ingredients:

Gluten Free Flour Blend

Eggs + Yeast + Honey

Water + Poppy Seeds

Add the active dry yeast, honey, and water to a bowl and let sit for 5-10 minutes. It is ready when it is frothy and bubbly.

Add the flour, eggs, salt, and yeast mixture to a bowl in a standing mixer. Mix with a paddle or dough hook attachment.

There is nothing like fresh homemade gluten free bread. This recipe is easy to make with my tutorial.

Divide the dough into three pieces and roll each into a thick rope. Braid the ropes to form your 3 strand challah.

Let the gluten free challah rise for 1 1/2 hours until it is almost double in size. Brush the bread with an egg wash then sprinkle poppy seeds on top.

Bake the challah for 45 minutes until done. The loaf will be beautifully golden. Allow the challah to cool for 1 hour.

This gluten free challah tastes incredible. It is fluffy and light. Serve it for Shabbat, make it into French toast, or enjoy it any time plain.
