Add the freeze dried strawberries to a mini cuisinart food processor. I love this one and it comes with lots of attachments like an immersion blender too. (*Note affiliate link.)

Separate the eggs and add the egg whites to a standing mixer. You can also use a hand mixer. Save the egg yolks for another recipe! Whip for 2 minutes.

You are going to love the sweet crispiness of these homemade strawberry meringues! They make a great Valentine's day treat!

3

Add the cream of tartar and strawberry powder and whip for 4-5 minutes until your meringue is stiff like this photo.

Use a heart cookie cutter to trace heart shapes on parchment paper. Use a star frosting tip in a frosting bag. Add the meringue into the frosting bag and pipe the meringue into heart shapes.

4

Heat the oven to 225º F. Bake the meringues for one hour. Turn off the oven and allow the meringue to sit in the oven another 20-30 minutes.

You can enjoy these meringues when they are cooled, or add wrap in cellophane bags and gift them to your Valentines! They will keep fresh 1-2 days.
