Why We Love This Easy Recipe:
- You can eat s'mores any time you like in just 5 minutes!!
- Making s'mores is so easy in your air fryer!
- No fire needed!
- You can make Easter s'mores by using peeps!
Ingredient Notes:

- Graham crackers - For gluten free s'mores, there are several brands of gluten free graham crackers. Annie's makes cinnamon graham crackers and regular flavored graham crackers. Schar also makes great gluten free graham crackers for s'mores. Kinnikinnick does make gluten free graham crackers as well, but they are thick and harder in texture so I don't recommend those for this recipe.
- Chocolate - You can use any type of chocolate or candy bars from milk chocolate to dark chocolate. Use a bar piece of chocolate or chocolate chips.
- Marshmallows - I prefer to use Dandes marshmallows because they do not have corn syrup. You can use any brand of fluffy marshmallows you like. You can also use any size of marshmallows from mini marshmallows to large marshmallows. The jumbo marshmallows are fun as well if you like a lot of gooey roasted marshmallow in your smores.
What Air Fryer is Best for S'mores?
I own two different air fryers. One was for my son when he moved to college, but his dorm won't allow an air fryer so I kept it. The Ninja Foodi Air Fryer is basket style and my toaster oven style air fryer.
For this recipe, both air fryers worked but the toaster oven style air fryer worked a LOT better in browning the marshmallows. The Ninja Foodi fryer's fan kept sweeping the parchment paper against the back of the air fryer, which got melted marshmallow everywhere.
Both had an easy clean-up. This is because the s'mores are cooked on either aluminum foil or parchment paper. This keeps the melted marshmallow and chocolate from going all over the bottom of the air fryer.
We are huge s'mores fanatics. If you love s'mores too, check out my Gluten Free S'mores Brownie Tarts recipe too!
How To Make Air Fryer S'mores:
No fire s'mores are so easy to air fry! Here are my simple steps to make them.

Step 1: Cut a piece of parchment paper to line the basket of your air fryer. Place graham crackers on the parchment paper. Add marshmallows or peeps on top of the graham crackers.
HINT: The parchment paper doesn't have to fill the entire bottom of the basket, just a few inches larger than the cookies to catch any melted marshmallow or chocolate before it falls on the bottom.

Step 2: Put the tray or basket into your air fryer.

Step 3: Cook the marshmallow in the air fryer at 390º F for 3 minutes. You will see the marshmallows get a beautiful golden brown.
The marshmallows got more golden like they were cooked in a camp fire in the oven style air fryer vs the baste style air fryer.
Important Air Fryer Tip:
If you are using a basket-style air fryer, place a few marshmallows on a small piece of parchment paper and place these into the air fryer. Graham crackers seem to burn more so I recommend just browning your marshmallows in this style of air fryer.
If you are using an oven-style air fryer, you can over the rack with parchment paper. Place graham cracker on the parchment paper and top with a large marshmallow.
*Note, in basket-style fryers, the paper can fly up against the back of the air fryer. It is important to check on how it is cooking about 30 seconds in.

Step 3: Press a piece of chocolate onto the melted marshmallow. Add another graham cracker on top of the marshmallows to make the smores. The hot marshmallow melts the chocolate bar perfectly!
Use caution when you take a bite of the s'mores. The melted marshmallow can be very hot.
