I am dairy free & wanted to know if you though canned coconut milk or dairy free cream by Silk could work? Thank you
Hi Elise, I haven’t used canned coconut milk in this exact recipe, but I have in another no-churn ice cream recipe. You need to use coconut cream and make sure the can is VERY cold in order for it to whip. I haven’t used the silk cream yet.
I NEED IT DAIRY FREE SO WHAT WOULD I USE INPLACE OF THE WHIPPING CREAM???
Hi Carole, I am going to test this out with coconut milk, but it wouldn’t be caramel since the caramel I am using has dairy. Stay tuned and I will create something dairy free and delicious. Do you have any requests? I am thinking fresh fruit of some sort….
