I am so excited to share with you my latest find. We have been trying to bring more excitement into our mornings lately, and these new Sweet PotaTOASTS from the makers of CAULIPOWER have made breakfast so much fun!! You can make this sweet potato toast right in your toaster oven.

Why this recipe is great:

It is so quick and easy. You can top it with my homemade maple cinnamon cream cheese and sweet bananas or make it more savory with an egg. These Sweet PotaTOASTS swap out for the bread, so use them anywhere you would use bread!! It is like eating a superfood toast!!

Are you ready to see how easy this homemade cinnamon cream cheese spread is to make? Whipped cream cheese for bagels may be the norm, but wait until you try it on sweet potato toast!!

Expert Tips and Recipe FAQ:

What is the best cream cheese to make a spread or schmear?

I prefer to use full-fat cream cheese. Let the block of cream cheese come to room temperature so it blends easily without lumps.

What is the best type of maple syrup?

I always use 100% real maple syrup. Grade A or Grade B maple syrup both work well.

How long will this cream cheese schmear last?

This homemade cream cheese will keep up to 4 days in an air-tight container.

Notes

  1. I recommend using full-fat cream cheese instead of low fat. It spreads better and is creamier.
  2. This cream cheese schmear will keep up to 4 days in an air-tight container.

SPECIAL NOTE

Please know that every gluten free flour blend has a different starch to grain ratio. If you use a blend I didn't test, you may need to adjust your moisture levels in your baked goods.
