This easy side dish is guaranteed to be a winner in your family! It isn't often I will guarantee something, but this turmeric cauliflower was such a huge surprise. I didn't expect my kids to devour it!
What is turmeric?
Turmeric is an Indian spice that adds strong flavors of curry and turmeric. It turns your recipes a vibrant yellow, which is part of the reason my kids were so intrigued by this recipe.

Cauliflower is one of those versatile vegetables that takes the flavor of seasoning really well. This gluten free turmeric cauliflower recipe is whole30, paleo, vegan, and delicious!

You can use either a whole head of cauliflower and chop it up or buy your cauliflower pre-chopped from the grocery store. Another fun idea is to slice your cauliflower like steaks!
Recipe step-by-step directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375º F.
- Chop cauliflower and put it in a bowl.
- Add olive oil, lime juice, and toss together to mix.
- Add seasonings and mix again.
- Put in a greased dish and bake for 20 minutes until cauliflower is roasted.

Tips and Recipe FAQ:
The easiest way to cut cauliflower into steaks is by placing the head of the cauliflower stem down on a cutting board. use a knife to cut down thick slices.
Don't steam your cauliflower. It will prevent it from getting slightly crisp edges, which are so tasty!
Try not to cut into all of the florets. Keep florets whole, then oil and season from there.
This cauliflower will keep up to 4 days in an air-tight container.

For a kick of spice, dust the cauliflower with crushed red pepper!
I know bright-colored foods can look a bit scary, but trust me, I know! But if you can, you will be surprised. It is incredible...even Mr. Fearless Dining will eat this cauliflower :-).

Quick and Easy Roasted Turmeric Cauliflower






Equipment
- 9x13 baking dish
Ingredients
- 1 head cauliflower cut up
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375º F.
- Chop cauliflower and put in a bowl.
- Add olive oil and toss together to mix.
- Add seasonings and mix again.
- Put in greased dish and bake for 20 minutes until cauliflower is roasted.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- You can cut your cauliflower into florets, or steaks. To cut as steaks, place your cauliflower head stem side down. Use a knife to cut thick slices.
- Feel free to add some spice by adding crushed red pepper flakes!
- This cauliflower will keep up to 4 days in an air-tight container.

Please know that every gluten free flour blend has a different starch to grain ratio. If you use a blend I didn't test, you may need to adjust your moisture levels in your baked goods.
