Easy Gluten Free Tu B’Shevat Recipes

Tu B’Shevat (aka Tu Bishvat) is a beautiful holiday celebrating trees’ birthday. Even though it is considered a “minor” Jewish holiday, I love the idea of a tree’s birthday or New Year of the Trees. Trees give us clean air, shelter, and delicious food!

Whether you are new to Tu B’shevat, or you celebrate this event every year with family and friends, I have your menu covered all day long with 27  delicious recipe ideas. Although there are no technical “Tu Bishvat” foods, it is a tradition to make recipes that use fruit, nuts, olives, etc., for this holiday.

I pulled together some of my best recipes, including the fruits and nuts of trees, hoping you can celebrate this joyous occasion with us!

Tree fruits and nuts are front and center in each recipe I chose to feature in this roundup. Every recipe was chosen with the trees’ birthday in mind to celebrate their bounty. This roundup includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and cocktail recipes.

I hope you have a chance to try some of my gluten free Tu B’Shevat recipes.

Do you have any family traditions for this holiday? One of my favorite traditions for Tu Bishvat is planting a new tree each year. It is a beautiful activity to do together with your whole family!

Over the years, we have planted a fig tree, a fruit salad tree, an apple tree, and an apricot tree. Have you planted any trees with your family?
